Baby Photo Album To Cherish Those Growing Moments

By Jane Lovell

A beautiful baby photo album is a must have for new parents. Your baby’s first year is a journey of discovery, full of moments and milestones that you’ll want to remember forever.

There is far more to making a baby photo book than just compiling cute and funny baby photos though. Create a montage of different pictures that truly reflect the people and sweet emotions of this precious time. We’ve got some tips for making an album that you’ll always cherish.

The most timeless theme for a baby photo album is "firsts." Start with your baby’s very first picture; the ultrasound image. Then you can go with a child birth photo, pictures of their first bottle, daddy’s first diaper change, the trip home from the hospital, their first bath, their first Christmas and, of course, their first birthday party.

Keep A Scrapbook After The First Year

If you want to keep a scrapbook after the first year, then you can include baby’s first tooth, the first time drinking from a cup, the first haircut and their first steps. In later years, you’ll be able to watch your child grow up all over again.

Unlike pre-made baby books and albums, you’ll be able to make your own photo album more interesting by varying the themes and layouts. You can also give your pages a little personal touch by adding some memorabilia by using a pocket envelope or sealed page to your layouts. These can include things like the baby photo birth announcement or a lock of hair from their first haircut. Be careful with sharp edges, thick items and chemicals that can damage your baby book.

Online Baby Photo Album

Thanks to the internet, you can make an online baby photo album that family members from all over the world can enjoy. Visit a computer software shop for a scrapbook program. They are inexpensive and extremely easy to upload and use.

These programs come with a wide variety of pre-built backgrounds, page layouts, fonts, titles and graphics that will make the project cute and colorful. Basically, all you have to do is upload your photographs, type in the text and you’re done! You can also print these pages to make a hard copies for your baby photo frames.

Pick A Theme And Organize Those Treasures

Instead of just putting your baby pictures in a baby photo album and tossing keepsakes into a box, pick a theme and organize those treasured items into an album that you’ll treasure. Baby photo books aren’t just about photos! Include their birth photo announcement, a lock of hair, or the wristband they wore at the hospital.

There are so many ways to document the first year of your child’s life, so be creative and have fun creating an album you’ll love forever.
