Camera Prices Are Lower For Older Models
By Jane Lovell
Camera prices are lower for older model cameras. If
you are looking for a bargain, look for models released
one or two years previously. These are the models the
retailer is trying to get off the shelves and may even
accept an offer to sell the camera as quickly as possible.
Before you open your wallet, check to confirm all the
normal warranties are included in the price.
Don’t forget, you get what you pay for. If you
see a camera at a really low price, check to see if
there are any functional faults with the camera system,
or if there are scratches and dents on the body.
Another way to get a lower price, is to buy a camera
body only. If you are purchasing a digital SLR camera
and you already have the lens for the camera, then just
buy the camera body. You may not have the latest lens
for your new camera, but if your lens work on this body,
you can save a small mountain of money for new lenses.
You may decide down the track, to buy new lenses for
your camera, when your finances allow.
More Features Increase The Price Of A Camera
Buying a good camera is more than just choosing the
features you want. Prices for cameras go up and down,
and a good one does not have to cost a fortune. Granted,
you aren’t going to get a top of the line camera for
a hundred dollars, but you don’t have to pay huge sums
when you have time to look around for the best camera
prices going.
Take some time to know what you want, what you need,
and what you expect from your camera, and then do a
little online searching to see what comes up.

Camera prices are going to be higher with more features
of course, but you don’t want to pay for features that
you don’t need. If you want zoom, that should be a priority,
and you may be able to find a better price if you look
for good zoom, but leave off a few features that you
don’t think are necessary for your personal camera needs.
This can help you shave some money off of your camera
prices while giving you what you think is more important
for you in a camera.
Cheaper Camera Prices For Older Models
You can save money on camera prices if you think about
getting a model that is a year or two old. Though they
won’t be in stores forever, you can usually find models
from the year before, and some are even two or three
years old. They are still new cameras, but they are
not the most updated versions that you can get.
Sometimes, the advances are small, meaning you can
save money will getting something that works very well,
has what you need, but won’t eat a huge hole in your
budget. Don’t forget about refurbished cameras in your
search. These usually had a bug in the factory, had
to be fixed, but could not be sold as new. They are
just as good as the others, but they are at a far better
price.
Search For Prices Online
You should also make the Internet your best friend
when looking for the best camera prices you can find.
You can always find models for much less than in the
store, and sometimes, you can find them half off or
more. It depends on how much searching you want to do.
You may find models that are used, but are still in
excellent shape. Once you have decided which camera
you want, search until you are sure you have found the
best camera prices that you can get. You’ll be happy
you took the time to see what is out there, and how
much you could save.
The Perils Of Buying Online
One of the better places to browse camera prices online
is on Ebay. You can see the camera and see the price.
But, you need to do some research before you decide
to purchase. Is there a guarantee on the product? Will
you actually buy what you see? There have been many
people who bought a camera online, but were disappointed
when they received the camera. It is different to the
camera they saw on the image. It may be a different
model, it may be damaged, have mechanical malfunctions.
When you go to a store, you can hold the camera, look
at the body, look through the lens, get a written guarantee
on the camera. When you buy a camera from a camera store,
you can touch the camera, before you buy. There are
a lot of camera stores that allow you to buy cameras
online from their website, so if there is something
wrong with the camera you bought online, you can run
to the store and get the camera fixed.
Seeing a lower price may mean you are getting a bargain,
or you are getting a lemon. You should do your research,
to confirm you are getting a quality camera.

More Photography Facts....
How far in advance should I book a photographer for my wedding?
Many photographers recommend booking a photographer
as soon as you get engaged, or at least until you know the wedding date.
It is suggested that the engaged couple book 8-12 months in advance because
many studios book wedding dates quickly. Weddings are more prominent from
May to October when the weather is most favorable.
If you choose to hold your wedding within this period,
the photographer you choose will likely require a non-refundable
deposit or retainer fee to hold your wedding date. This
ensures that you will have this studio or photographer
on your desired date, as well as securing a job for
your photographer. The sooner you book your photographer,
the more likely you are to be able to work with your
first choice.
