Easter Coloring Activities Keep Kids Busy

By Sylvia Adolvana

Whether it’s done for church or just to have a little fun at home, Easter coloring projects provide great activities to keep kids busy during a break from school work, and to help them prepare for the Easter celebration itself.

Parents can plan several different types of crafts, including things like cookie baking and basket making, as well as the fun activity of cooking, blowing out and coloring of eggs.

But when it’s time for the kids to settle down a bit and yet still remain entertained, coloring Easter pictures is another way to keep their minds and hands occupied.

Downloading Free Easter Themed Pictures

Many parents are already aware of web pages that feature Easter themed pictures that can be downloaded for free and printed for the kids to color. Sites like www.kaboose.com or www.activityvillage.co.uk provide many of these.

But www.bluemountain.com, which is an ecard site, has added a slightly different little twist to this phenomenon. Now it’s possible to review your options and send an online Easter card that consists of a design that can be downloaded as a coloring page. This essentially works the same way as downloading an ordinary coloring page, but it has the extra attraction of being sent as a greeting and a small gift.

Finding Ideas Online

Many parents might be looking to find kids Easter pages on Christian websites, being more interested in providing some spiritual edification along with the coloring opportunities. One of the suggestions involves drawing and coloring pictures of eggs and pasting them on the ends of the branches of paper trees.

These bare branches are meant to signify the absence of life, with the eggs promising life’s renewal, a perfect Easter theme. A site like www.coloring.ws also has many Easter coloring pictures with a Christian theme.

Children Creating Works Of Art

The variety of Easter graphics on web pages is astounding, and there is no shortage of free downloads that can be printed out and given to children for their Easter coloring projects. They can create works of art to decorate the home, use in their Sunday school, or send to friends as Easter presents.

Between these downloaded coloring pages, small flash cards, ecards and other similar opportunities, the children will be so busy making masterpieces that they won’t have a moment to even think of getting bored during their school break time.

More Crafts Ideas....

You have probably heard the statement that the most heartfelt gifts are those created by your own hand. Parents know this. They look forward to those scribbles from their toddlers. It is a sign that someone took the time out of their day to do something for you. You were in their thoughts.

If you want to give a more personal gift to someone you love, doing a craft may be the best idea. Most crafts are surprisingly easy and there are tons of reliable sources to find all the projects that you could possibly want.
