Free Photo Software With Your New Digital Camera
By Nikos L Maxwell
Free photo software is available for download from
many sites on the internet. You can also get quality
image editing software when you buy a new digital camera.
The better quality software is included with the better
quality digital cameras.
These days, many digital cameras include Adobe Photoshop
Elements as part of the package when you buy a new digital
camera. Adobe Photoshop Elements is a cut down version
of the more expensive Adobe Photoshop, which most professional
photographers use.
If photography is your hobby, then you may want to
create basic images with your digital camera and make
a few changes, add text with Photoshop Elements, then
upload your images to a website, just like many amateur
photographers.
Amateur Photographers With Free Photo Software
The amateur photographer is in the majority of all
camera owners out there. While the pros have elaborate,
expensive equipment and all the latest gadgetry, that’s
not the case with most people.
When we pack up our digital camera to take on an outing,
or just take a few shots of the kid’s birthday party
or our backyard BBQ gathering, we’re just looking to
capture some memories, not win a photo contest.
Enhancing Your Digital Pictures
However, many people don’t know about the absolutely
amazing enhancements which can be made to your digital
pictures, with photo software. There are tons of fabulous
photo editors out there, so how do you know which package
to choose, that will meet your needs? You may not want
to shell out a couple of hundred bucks – or more – when
you have no idea what to do with it, or if the whole
package might be way out of your skill set.
Well, here’s some great news! Before you go out and
spend your hard-earned cash on photo software that may
or may not suit your needs, try some of the many excellent
free photo software downloads. So how do you find these
gems? Easy. Just Google ‘photo software free download’
and wade through some of the thousands of sites at your
disposal.
A Basic Photo Editor
You’ll first want to get a basic photo editor, also
known as an image editor. This is your basic workhorse,
which allows you to manipulate your images in dozens
of ways. Most include an array of special effects, such
as altering colors, contrast, or sharpening or softening
the image. Rotating, resizing and introducing layers
and transparencies are other common features.
While you’re looking, keep in mind what features will
be truly useful to you. For example, if your thing is
landscape photos, you may want to look for a photo software
package that provides lighting effects. With this feature,
you can make a sunset a little more luminous, or even
change the color entirely.
Be aware that many of these downloads are only available
in the .exe format, so when the download dialogue box
comes up on your screen, be sure to click the ‘save
to disk’ option and save the download in a directory
you create specifically for all downloads.
Photo Software Utilities
Fool around with a few of these editors to find out
what photo software technology has to offer. Once you
see what you can do with a photo editor, you’ll want
to look into photo software utilities to perform specialized
tasks, such as merging photos, instant color matching
or creating digital sketches from your kid’s photos!
You’ll be surprised to see how intuitive photo software
is to use. There’s no big learning curve. You’ll
be up and running in no time. Once you’re familiar with
this type of software, you’ll know what you need from
photo software and the money you spend will not be wasted.
Your pics will be like the pros!
Free Photo Software With A New Digital Camera
Another way to get free photo software is to buy a
new digital camera. Many of the new digital cameras,
include a disk with free image editing software. The
better the camera the better the photo software. If
you buy a small digital camera, you may get basic software,
but if you buy a higher quality camera, you may get
better software like Photoshop Elements.
Many of the new digital cameras these days, include
a disk with Photoshop Elements. You can load Photoshop
Elements onto your computer and start manipulating your
images. You can add text to your images, change colours,
improve the contrast to improve your images. Once you
have a perfect image, you can place it on your website
for your friends to admire your handy work.
Full Version Of Adobe Photoshop
There may be a time when you feel frustrated by the
limitations of Photoshop Elements and you may find out
that Photoshop Elements is a cut down version of the
Photoshop software and you then look to purchasing the
full version of Photoshop.
Once you start using Adobe Photoshop, you start to
realize what you have been missing with Photoshop Elements.
The level of manipulation and editing of your images
is almost unlimited. This is why Adobe Photoshop is
the industry standard and it is the image editing software
most professional photographers use.
Just remember, your image editing started with free
photo software.

More Photography Facts....
What kind of photo styles do photographers usually use at weddings?
Photographers use two main styles at weddings.
The first one is traditional or portrait style, the formal poses
of the bridal party, family, and friends of the couple. There are
little to no candid photographs with this style. The other technique
that is used is photojournalistic style. This is a more contemporary
and modern.
It is about snapping up photos of spontaneous moments,
and sincere emotion. It is taken with very little direction
from the photographer. There are two other styles that
are not as commonly used as Traditional and photojournalistic,
and they are illustrative and creative photography.
Illustrative photography is usually set up like a commercial
photo shoot.
The types of photos captured in this style are similar
to those seen in magazines and even billboards. With
creative photography, photographers have the freedom,
using different lighting and different angles, to create
their own artistic interpretation of your wedding day.
