Hanukkah Cards To Show You Care
By Sylvia Adolvana
Hanukkah is a festival that is celebrated by the Jewish
people during the month of Kislev, according to the
Hebrew calendar, or late November or December according
to the Gregorian calendar.
The story of Hanukkah is about the victory Maccabees
achieved during the revolt he led, which in turn led
to the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. During
the eight day Hanukkah holiday, as part of the celebrations,
Hanukkah cards are given to loved ones on each day.
There are cards for nearly all categories, such as
friendship, family, blessings, appreciation, pets, love,
inspiration, invitations, anniversary, birthday, congratulations,
events and many more. In fact, they can be on any topic
that one can think of.
Buy Hanukkah Card Or Make Your Own
Parents can give their children or their friends cards
as a way to express a different emotion. It might be
love, friendship or for an anniversary. You can review
your options and decide to buy a Hanukkah card or you
can make some on your own.
They are simple to make; you only need to be creative.
The Hanukkah holiday is a good time to encourage your
children to read the Torah by giving them gifts as an
incentive. Hanukkah can therefore be a good time to
impart religious teachings to your children. To other
family members and friends, it is a period of rededication
and thinking about family and friendship.
Lighting A Candle On The Menorah Every Night
In addition to giving Hanukkah cards during this time,
the menorah is lit every night for 8 nights and the
importance of lighting it is to signify peace. During
the festival, there are special Hanukkah songs that
are sung.
The most popular one is "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel,"
which is a favorite of English-speaking countries and
"Chanukah, Oh Chanukah," which is common in
Israel. Most families prefer eating foods that are baked
or fried in oil.
This is in remembrance of the Hanukkah miracle when
the oil flask that was used by the high priest Kohen
Gadol was discovered. Other families prefer to eat fruit
filled doughnuts which are fried in oil.
Showing You Care With Gifts And Cards
The season of Hanukkah is a time when people show others
that they care. They do this by giving them Hanukkah
gifts and cards. Hanukkah cards are a good way of strengthening
the relationship with your friends and family members.
It is also a time to make amends with any person you
may not be in a good standing with. Since the cards
come in varied themes, you can easily choose which theme
best describes how you feel about a person or your relationship
with them.
The Hanukkah holiday is a time to bond or strengthen
your relationship with your family, friends and other
loved ones.

More Crafts Ideas....
You have probably heard the statement that the most
heartfelt gifts are those created by your own hand.
Parents know this. They look forward to those scribbles
from their toddlers. It is a sign that someone took
the time out of their day to do something for you. You
were in their thoughts.
If you want to give a more personal gift to someone
you love, doing a craft may be the best idea. Most crafts
are surprisingly easy and there are tons of reliable
sources to find all the projects that you could possibly
want.
