Laptop Rentals With Better Options

By Nikos L Maxwell

Perhaps the biggest attraction of using laptop computers is that you can take them pretty much anywhere that you go. Since there has been a huge increase in the number of Wi-Fi hot spots available around the world, you can now sit at the airport, at an outside cafe or in a hotel room and still be able to conduct your business on the computer.

For some, laptop rentals may be the way to go. If you do not require one on a frequent basis, rather only for infrequent business trips or something similar, then renting may be more cost effective than purchasing.

Short Term Rental Options Including Per Use Rental

If you find that you are only traveling a few times a year or are away from your desktop computer rarely, then you may find a laptop computer rental sufficient for your needs. Check out a few of the rental stores as most do have a per use rental, yet some may require a longer term rental than you need.

When you visit the rental store to inquire about short term rentals, keep in mind that some may even require a deposit, which is one reason why it is a good idea to check out a few different shops to ensure that you get the best of the laptop rentals for your money. If you are in need of laptop accessories to go with it, then most often they will have those available for rent as well.

Long Term Rental Options Including Rent To Own

Another option for a rental laptop is long term renting. Perhaps you do not have the necessary credit to finance a laptop or do not have the cash to just go out and purchase one. Often a rental store will offer a "rent to own" program. You will be renting the computer but the payments will be applied towards the purchase price of the laptop.

When you rent-to-own, such as with laptop rentals, you may be offered different types of programs. Some will offer a 90 day plan and these will normally include an additional rent-to-own fee, which varies from company to company.

Others do have longer terms available and one of the perks that some companies offer is that you are not responsible for any repairs, provided you didn’t cause the problem. The same applies if it cannot be repaired and must be replaced, which can make the decision to rent a computer a very smart one indeed.

More Computer Rental Facts....

How much does it cost to rent a computer?
The costs for renting a computer vary depending on the "newness" of the computer. Obviously brand new, off the line computers are going to go for a higher rate than a computer that has been out for a few years.

There are many things that factor into the overall cost of renting a computer. The first is, as mentioned, how new it is. The second is what type of software programs have to be loaded onto the computer. The third is how long you intend to rent the computer.

Generally if you sign a longer lease, the price will go down. You should also see a price decrease if you are renting several computers at once or are a repeat customer.
