Photo Christmas Ornaments On Your Family Christmas Tree

By Sylvia Adolvana

Photo Christmas ornaments can be placed on the Christmas tree, to include images of family members on the tree. You can buy ready made photo Christmas ornaments from a store and online, or you can use your crafting skills to make your own ornaments.

I make my own photo Christmas ornaments and include images of my family. I create new ornaments every year, so they are not the same images and use different designs every time. Creating your own ornaments shows you have made that extra effort and used your time to showcase your skills.

Some people have excellent skills in computing, I have excellent crafting skills and use them to create my own gifts and photo Christmas ornaments.

Adding A Personal Touch To Your Christmas Tree

A photo Christmas ornament is a creative and easy way to add a personal touch to your Christmas tree. Glass blown ornaments are nice, and some of the pewter miniatures on sale nowadays are quite beautiful, but for me, the most important thing in Christmas decorations is to express yourself.

Photo Christmas ornaments do just that. They help you honor the things that matter you to most: your friends and family. In addition, they can make a fun and fascinating craft activity for the whole family.

Gorgeous Pewter Photo Frame

The first photo Christmas ornament I ever had, of course, was store-bought. It was a gorgeous pewter photo frame hanging from a dainty little hook. I put a picture my boyfriend in it, and really enjoyed the way it looked on the Christmas tree. It was a present from her, after all, and I wanted to always use it to express my love for him.

Because it was Christmas vacation I had a lot of time. I decided that it might be nice to make my own Christmas decorations. I set off to make a photo Christmas ornament of my own. I’m a pretty decent wood carver, and I was able to make a wooden frame over the next day or so. When I was done, it looked spectacular. I put a picture of myself in it and gave it to my boyfriend.

Using Common Household Items Into Photo Christmas Ornaments

Of course, there are easier ways to make photo Christmas ornaments than this. I have a friend who makes them out of common household items. She is really into folksy art, and finds a lot of easy and fun ways to make crafts of things that would otherwise be discarded.

Old sardine tins, Popsicle sticks, and many other pieces of packaging and wrapping are all well suited to making photo Christmas ornaments out of. With a little bit of paint and a lot of imagination, you can make beautiful finished crafts there are fit to be given out as personalized Christmas presents.

Laser Engraved Christmas Ornaments

Then again, there are a lot of fancy photo Christmas ornament effects that you can only get from buying custom made Christmas decorations. Laser engraved Christmas ornaments, for example, can combine photographs with stunning glass etching.

Still, whether you prefer a homemade aesthetic or something more professionally done, consider incorporating photos into your Christmas decorations this year. You will be surprised by how much they add to your holiday celebration!

Christmas Is Family Day At Home

Especially if the whole family, including parents and grandparents are all coming to your home to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Day. It is the only day of the year where you can all stay together for a few hours, in the one location. You can talk about what you have done in the past year and what you will do in the next year.

After you have Christmas lunch, it is time to sit under the Christmas tree with your photo Christmas ornaments and give out all the gifts. Even though some of the children may now be adults and have their own children, it is a happy time of the year, where everyone is happy to have lived another year and look forward to the new year.

As I am a keen photographer, I always like to give all the children, gifts relating to photography. One year I gave them all, each a new digital camera, the next year I gave them a new iPod, but this year I may give them framed photos of themselves. I am using my own crafting skills to create a whole lot of frames to place their images.

I hope everyone enjoys the Christmas tree with the presents and all the photo Christmas ornaments.
