Pregnancy Photos And Taking Perfect Images
By Jane Lovell
Think about how wonderful it would be to show your
child pictures of yourself while you were pregnant with
him or her. Time can be at premium when you’re pregnant
but you should try to capture as many precious moments
as you can with a digital camera. Pregnancy photos will
always remind you of this special time in your life.
In this article, we’ll tell you how to prepare for a
professional photo shoot or how to take personalized
pictures yourself.
Depending on the location of the shoot for the pregnancy
photos, it can last up to three hours. Consequently,
you should schedule a time when you’re not rushed or
have other appointments. It’s important that you’re
well prepared for the shoot. Make sure that you have
an enjoyable meal and that your clothes are ready to
go.
Do Not Wear Tight Fitting Clothes Or Elastic
If you are having other family members in the pictures
with you, then ensure that they are punctual and prepared.
Do not wear any tight fitting clothing or elastic as
you will have impressions in your skin, especially around
your belly. It’s a good idea to bring a robe along for
any down time.
The appropriate hair and makeup is essential to good
photographs, so you may want to hit the salon before
your shoot. Use a light hand if you do your own makeup
and opt for a subtle, natural look. The right foundation,
powder and mascara are a must. Eyeliner, eye shadow,
blush and lipstick should all be neutral.
Try A Few Test Shots To See If Everything Is Perfect
Never use makeup that shimmers. It can make your pictures
look oily and dated. The hot lights can make you perspire,
so bring along your makeup bag for touch ups. You can
ask your photographer to do a few test shots so that
you can adjust your hair and makeup if necessary.
You should also treat yourself to a manicure if your
hands will be in the photos. Keep jewelry to minimum.
You want the focus to be on you. Enjoy this time; once
your baby is born your focus will shift to baby photo
birth announcements and professional baby photos.
Easy To Take Your Own Photos
Some moms prefer the look of informal shots and choose
to take their own pictures. This is a great idea for
action shots and is surprisingly easy to do. To get
a wide variety of looks in your photos of pregnancy,
think about backgrounds, color and framing. Read your
camera’s manual so that you know what it’s capable of.
To get good photos with either a film or digital camera
use a flash even when you’re outdoors, lock the focus
and know the range of your flash. Forget about the "point
and shoot" method of taking pictures. Get creative
with settings, poses and lighting. This will give you
unique and personal pictures.
Good Quality Photo Albums
Professional pregnancy photos can be like a family
heirloom that’s passed on for generations. Make sure
that you invest in good quality photo albums and picture
frames that will keep the photos well preserved.
Most importantly, relax and enjoy the experience of
having this beautiful time captured forever on film.
You’ll love these photos forever. You can even add them
to your new baby photo album.
