Prototype Com Websites With Design Teams

By Sylvia Adolvana

Online, you can now find many companies whose primary purpose for existence is the development of ideas and prototypes of those ideas. Most of these web addresses will end with "prototype com."

These websites are set up to allow the customer to review their options, submit an idea and then utilize the services of a specialized design team who can take that idea and develop working prototype models which can be used to improve the design or invention.

A good prototype website can be of great assistance to you when you first venture out to find a design team who can help you to make your idea or invention a reality.

Improve Your Basic Concept

Most of the design teams from these sites will be able to create original concept art for you, along with user help to improve your basic concept. They will brainstorm with you to help you develop your new part or product to its fullest potential.

The concept or idea must be finalized before the "prototype com" site can go any further with you in the design process. Once that has been accomplished, a CAD, or computer aided design program will be used to create a three-dimensional rendering of your final product or design.

Scaled Down Of Your Product

This drawing can also be input into a special machine, called a prototype machine, which is capable of producing scaled down models of your product so that you can physically view the design and approve or reject it. This drawing can also be used to determine the type of materials to be used in production and whether there are any potential safety issues with the product.

A "prototype com" company must have certain credentials and pieces of equipment before they venture out into the internet business world. A CAD programmer and an appropriate CAD system are a must have. If they do not own a prototyping machine, then they will need access to one, along with the software that runs it.

Prototype Models Given To Customer For Approval

This machine must develop good quality prototype models that can withstand testing and then can be given to potential investors or customers for approval. There are a great many prototyping companies on the internet today and it is not hard to find one that can meet your needs, at a price you can afford.

It will also help you to improve the quality and value of first run production parts or products if you are able to view a working model of your new product.

More Prototype Facts....

What are the categories of the basic prototype?
There are four basic categories that prototypes can fall into. The first is the Proof-of-Principle Prototype. This category does not take into consideration final appearance or materials.

It is designed to test things like range of motion, sensors, architecture or mechanics. The second category is the Form Study Prototype. This category is the opposite of the first. It is used to see what the overall appearance, size and feel of the product will be. The third category is the Visual Prototype.

It is this category in which prototypes will be in the aesthetic design and function of the idea. These prototypes are often used to promote the design and start the marketing process. The final category is a Functional Prototype.

It is these prototypes that encompass and simulate the final design. It may be smaller than the actual size intended but they are the prototypes that are used for actual testing.
