Wedding Announcements On The Best Day Of Your Life

By Sylvia Adolvana

Wedding announcements can be sent to your friends and family with information about your wedding. You may want to announce images and short videos from the wedding can be viewed on a website, supplying the website address.

You can thank those who attended the wedding and their wedding gifts with wedding announcements. You may include an image of the bride and the groom with the website address to view images and video from the wedding.

It is easy to include lots of images on the wedding website, and you can continually update the website with more images, to show life before and soon after the wedding. For example, you may include images from the honeymoon, a welcome back party and a bachelorette party(before the wedding).

Send Out Wedding Announcements

I am glad that I am already married and hopefully I will never have to go through that ordeal again. I have to admit it was fun, but I think it’s only fun the first time.

If I had to be married again, I can’t imagine that anything involved would be fun for me. I remember that it was a lot of work, and there were a few things that I forgot to do. One of those things was to send out wedding announcements to those who were not able to make it to the wedding.

Wedding announcements are something that most choose to use to announce their big day after it is over for those who could not attend, and for those they could not squeeze onto the guest list.

Cannot Please Everyone

Though not being able to invite everyone you know is quite common, there are some who get very offended. I’m not sure what the rule is about gifts from those who only receive wedding announcements rather than invitations, but I would suggest that you don’t expect much.

It might be proper to send something, but I can’t imagine anyone who feels miffed about not being invited will want to send a gift.

Send Out Soon After The Wedding

When sending wedding announcements, remember to do so quickly so the wedding is not old news. Those who live far away may have heard about the wedding knowing that they would not attend, but they might be disappointed if they don’t hear from the new couple within a few weeks.

The etiquette guides seem to say a lot of different things, but try to get them out with the thank you notes you write for gifts, and try to do it within a month. The guides may give you different numbers, but you can’t expect people to wait too long.

Include A Photo From The Wedding

Most have wedding announcements that include a shot from the wedding, but when the photographer is slow, that can be a problem. If you had cameras for guests to take candid shots, this might be where you find your photograph.

They may not look as good as the ones your photographer took, but you can use one if you find a keeper. You could wait to get your wedding pictures back if you want to, but don’t wait too long if they are slow. If nothing else works, use an engagement photo for your wedding announcements if you want to, or leave the photo off completely.

I have seen wedding announcements with a photo of the couple together, not necessarily a wedding photo. So if you do not have a photo from the wedding, then just include an image of the bride and groom together.

These days, you can go online and place images and short video clips of the wedding. On the wedding announcements, you can mention the website address, so your friends and relatives who attended the wedding and those who could not attend, can go and view the images and video and feel a part of the event.

You want everyone to know about your once in a lifetime event, with wedding announcements.
