Best Wedding Photographers For Your Wedding
By Louis Myrandle
Wedding photographers should be one of the most essential
elements of any wedding. The wedding day of a young
couple is long remembered as an important day in their
relationship and making sure to capture the special
even with photography is usually a very high
priority.
Professional photographers become a key member of the
wedding day team that helps to make sure the day is
adequately recorded in pictures so it will be long remembered,
reviewed and shared with others.
When people put so much effort into choosing things
such as wedding planners, wedding cakes, wedding ceremony
sites, wedding dresses and even minute details such
as the wedding candles, it can be surprising that a
couple can neglect to make arrangements in advance for
a photographer. There are many couples who would caution
about waiting until the last minute to try to get a
good professional photographer to do justice to their
special day.
Do Not Risk A Photographer With Less Skill
When people fail to plan ahead and book wedding photographers
enough in advance of the event, they run the risk of
having to choose a photographer with less skill or experience.
In many cases, due to lack of planning, couples end
up paying a higher fee for a photographer of inferior
quality because of the lateness of the booking.
A wedding photographer is also the person who will
be responsible for recording some of the small, but
particularly important, details of the event which are
often overlooked. But, often when people look through
their wedding photos they are pleased to discover that
the trained eye of the wedding photographer was able
to highlight things such as the perfect wedding dress,
or the unguarded moments of the couple or family
members.
Look At Previous Work Of The Wedding Photographer
During the planning stages, as the couple prepares
for the wedding, it is a good idea to start interviewing
photographers as early in the process as possible. Most
professional photographers are happy to show you albums
of previous weddings and other special events they have
photographed. This can give you a very good idea of
the style and quality of the photographer’s work.
When you have had a chance to view the work of several
different photographers, you should be able to find
a few who have been able to capture the kind of feel
that you want to be reflected in your own wedding. Then
it’s time to compare the pricing and the different packages
that are offered.
Request A Complete Listing Of Charges
In order to do the best comparison, make sure that
you have a complete listing of the different photographs
and albums that will be included in the package, and
the amount of time the photographer will be available,
as well as any type of additional charges, such as travel
expenses.
It is common for wedding photographers to expect to
be paid a deposit at the time that you book their services
for the wedding date. It is important to be completely
confident that you have chosen the right photographer
before making a deposit because in most instances the
deposit is not refundable.
While keeping that in mind, if you have found a photographer
whose work you love, you know they are reputable, and
are available for your day, then you should not delay
too long or you might lose the chance to book them.

More Photography Facts....
What types of cameras are commonly used in wedding
photography?
There are three main types of cameras
used in wedding photography. They are 35mm cameras,
digital cameras, and medium format cameras. In this
digital age, 35mm is still a widely used camera for
wedding photography. These are used mainly for fast
action wedding shots. They are valued for their durability,
compactness, and ease of use.
Digital cameras have become much more popular, even
preferred for wedding photography. The quality of photos
is just good as film, there is no processing time, no
risk of damaging negatives, and photos can easily be
adjusted for a better outcome. Medium Format cameras
produce a negative that is up to three times larger
than one from a 35mm camera, without a loss of detail.
However, Medium Format cameras are much larger than
35mm’s and digital cameras.
A fourth type of camera that may be used in a studio
for a pre-wedding shot is a Large Format camera. These
cameras are stationary due to their size and weight.
They are mainly used for commercial studio photography.
Although these cameras hold an excellent lens, the prices
for photos taken with this camera can be quite pricey.
